Fall Family Photos at Bighorn Lookout | Calgary Photographer
There is something extra magical about fall in the Alberta mountains.
For this family session, we headed about an hour south of Calgary to Bighorn Lookout in Kananaskis. With golden grasses, colourful aspens and beautiful mountain views, it is one of my favourite locations for families wanting that mountain feel without driving all the way to Banff.
I love photographing families here because there is room for kids to explore, play and simply be themselves. Instead of spending the entire session posing, I use gentle direction and prompts to create natural moments—laughing, cuddling, walking together and all those little interactions that make your family yours.
Fall is especially beautiful at Bighorn Lookout. The warm colours and soft evening light create a timeless backdrop for family photographs.
